The Wall.-An open letter to the club.
THE WALL’ AN OPEN LETTER TO THE CLUB

Dear Jake and Tara,

Hammers United have been inundated with complaints from our members about a wall that now separates home and away supporters at London Stadium.

Without exception, supporters who have contacted Hammers United wish to see this wall removed immediately and they have asked us to represent them in conveying this message to the club.

Having paid for a seat and an experience they thought they were buying, to turn up and find that they have, in fact, paid for something different is unacceptable.

Supporters feel strongly that this wall severely negatively affects the atmosphere at London Stadium.

Beyond our membership, this wall has been condemned by the wider fanbase and its installation has been questioned by national news outlets.

The introduction of this wall was not mentioned at Newham Safety Advisory Group meetings (where Hammers United have a representative) when the reconfiguration of the West Stand was raised. We also believe it was not something that was required to gain planning consent for that reconfiguration.

We believe you owe it to your loyal supporters to answer the following questions:

Why was the wall introduced?

Whose decision was it to introduce the wall?

Why was there no prior consultation between the Club and the ISC?

Will the wall be permanently removed before the next home match?

We cannot stress enough the urgency of this matter and implore you to answer these questions and take the appropriate action, seeing to it that the wall is removed ASAP.

We look forward to a swift response.

Hammers United Committee

Soft fucking letter. Kick the wall fucking down and brick the directors box. Sully will simply wipe his helmet dry with your wanky letter, Kerry Katona’s vag juice all over it after big 4’s up

The usual way to do this is with a mesh fence or at least a net to catch missiles. Stupid to block views and sound of the stadium.

Anyway, I had no idea how bad it is as my tickets are the other side. I reckon many others don't know too, so this link has photos which show how awful it is:

Good luck with it.

Looks like a cost cutting exercise as usual, as it requires less stewards to police that area.

Maybe a Perspex screen would have been a better option, but I’ll be surprised if they do away with it altogether.
